Communication was one of the key enablers to ensure a successful programme would be delivered, and due to the small nature of the team a helpline was required. The Carrier Group were brought on board for the launch of the programme and have been providing advice and support to the volunteers for the past two and a half years. They have fielded calls from the volunteers regarding dates and locations of training and deployment, answered queries on uniform sizes, lost passes and missed sessions. They've carried out call-rounds to ensure programme changes were effectively communicated and have supported complex deployments of volunteers.
